Elder Cybulski,

Ok so I'm beginning this week's email with big news from this Texan.  Oh my goodness it snowed in May.  Yes, it did!  And it was 80 degrees outside the day before.  Freaky!  Last Thursday it snowed like 3-5 inches here in Kansas.  Of course after such warm weather the day before nothing stuck on the ground but it came down heavy with huge flakes but was super wet so lots of slush.  It's over for now.  It was 65 today and 75 predicted for tomorrow.  It has been a crazy spring here.  Ok, so enough about the weather...biggest thing going on around here...LOL!

I was talking to Gran Gran last night and she said she emailed you last week and got an email back from you.  She said you really sounded good and that it sounded as if you were really enjoying your mission.  I think she still struggles with understanding the significance a mission can play in a person's life.  It's definitely not something she has ever thought about doing.  We are very different in that respect.  I think it would be so great.  I hope I get to do something like it someday, if not a full mission, maybe a trip with Kelly Lineback to Honduras or something.  The thought of helping others and the focus you get from doing something not of yourself sounds so appealing.  It makes a real impact on your life and gives great perspective to our otherwise self-endulged lives.  I'm sure you can attest to that.

So, tell me, how is Samuel?  A couple of weeks ago you wrote about getting him to come to church.  With his past, making a change can be difficult.  I was just wondering how he was doing. I'm sure you are making more progress in your area now.  I could hear the worry in your email that it might be difficult to restart the area.  That's why they put you there son!  Just know that you are the missionary that the Lord needs in that area to revitalize the efforts.  You are feeding his lost sheep and bringing them back to his fold.

How is life with your new companion?  Learning more patience? :-)  Each companion will teach you so much.  Learn to love them for what they teach you.  You are learning so much about others and about yourself on your mission, all of which will serve you well the rest of your life.  BTW I need a new pic of you and your new companion!

Also, I need information about when I will get to talk to you on Sunday!

How are you doing on money?  Your account looks a little low, even though you don't use it much.  I'll try to put a little in it this week for emergencies or whatever you might need.  I love you son and can't wait to see you soon!!!

Love,

Mom

Hey mommy,
Good to hear from you guys this week. This week has been so great. We got transfer calls last night, but I will update you on those at the end just to build the suspense lol.
That is so crazy that you guys got snow. out here it is like 80 degrees solid, and I am starting to get tan from bike riding, and people comment on it lol. I even have a tan line from my watch and ring, so i am trying to wear my watch on the left hand, but It just feels weird, and I cant write well without it, so it is really bad lol.
I sent gran gran a letter today, about my mission actually. It is funny that you brought that up. I have realized that I have always been scared to ask certain questions, but I am not anymore. She mike ask you something about it, but I pretty much just bore my testimony, and reminded her of the spirit that she felt at christmas on skype.
Samuel, is kind of on the back burner right now, cause he is just way too busy, and dealing with some family stuff, but I appreciate you asking. He is a great guy, and someone that will eventually be baptized, it is just a matter of when. He is still reading and praying though. However, we have this kid named wes that is on date for baptism. His grandma is a member of the church, but he isnt. He will definitely get baptized in a couple of weeks.
As for my companion, we are doing great now. He took a while, but he finally opened up and started acting like himself, so we are good now. He just doesnt like change, so it was hard for him. I will email you a picture of us next week.
Ok, now for the big news. Transfer calls.................. For this next transfer I am going to be in the Spokane west zone. I am moving pretty far away from wenatchee which makes me a little sad, but it is ok. I will be a zone leader out there. I think the name of my area is in a city called Airway Heights. It is by the airport in Spokane. I dont know any missionaries out there, cause they are all english speaking. I am excited for the change, but a little nervous. So, I dont know what to tell you about the skype situatioon for sunday, but What you can do is mailme a letter quickly with your skype info in it , and I can just call that info. I dont know my new companion, so I am assuming he is setting it up at someones house.
I had an idea the other day. The guy that we live with has tons of books, and some gospel ones that I want to read eventually. I am going to list them, but it is just so that if you see them you can get them. You dont have to mail them to me or buy them right away.
"Worth of a soul"
"Archaeology and the Book of Mormon"
"Christ and the New Covenant" -Holland
"Mormon Doctrine"
"Act in Doctrine" -Bednar
"Miracle of Forgiveness"
"The life and stories of Porter Rockwell"
I love you guys, and i will talk to you on sunday. Write soon. And tell halle there is a letter on the way for the one that got lost in the mail.
Love,
Elder Cybulski
p.s. this was my district last transfer
p.p.s. This board was empty when I got to the area, now look at it
