March 25, 2013

Good Morning Son!
So how are you today?  I hope you had a great week last week.  The kids are back from Texas and brought Gran Gran with them.  She got here last Thursday. It's been so good to have time with her.  She needed the break from Paw Paw (lol) and I needed a visit.  Her visit is ending up being a little longer than she orginally planned though.  We got another snow storm over the weekend and now she's stuck here.  And I'm loving it!  HAHAHA  We got another 7-9 inches depending on who's reporting.  It has been a big year for snow here.  And it's the end of March…crazy!  We are still getting some flurries today so she may be here til Wednesday which is super fine with me.  I hate that I have to work everyday but she says it gives her a break and she has a book to keep her occupied.  Too bad I don't work right down the street anymore.  We talk about you a lot.  Are your ears burning?  HA!  She's super proud of you, as I am of course!
I can't believe it is Easter this next weekend and then General Conference is here again.  YEA!  The Easter bunny just might make a visit soon…hint, hint!  Well, not much more to report from here.  I'm going to keep it short this week since I know that you will have tons of emails from friends to go through.  I love you so much.  Keep spreading that sweet spirit of yours.
Have a fabulous week!

Love ya, Mom

Hey mom,

It is great to hear from you. I am so excited right now. Last night we got transfer calls, and I am going back to the area that I started my mission in. I get to see my converts, and I get to be with all of the members that I grew to love. The area is a little different though. Instead of just spanish like it was before, they made the area a little smaller, and they made it zebra(english and spanish). So, I will also be convering a ward. I am so excited to work with all of those members too, cause I met some of them before. I am still district leader, but of the district down there now. I am really excited as you might be able to tell. Anyways, I am super surprised to hear about the snow. It is great weather up here, and the trees are getting ready to bloom.

Anyways, I got to go.

Love,
Elder Cybulski

p.s. This is my district from the last three months

March 18, 2013

Hello there Son!

All is quiet here on the home front. Halle and Matthew are in Texas for Spring Break which makes it very quiet around here. The house is very clean. Haha!

So did you get a lot of emails out to friends last week?  I bet they were surprised to hear from you. It's cool you get to correspond a little easier this way. Writing is a slow way to communicate. Gran Gran sure loves your letters. She's always so excited to tell me she got one from you. Paw Paw is being a bit cranky these days so hearing from you lifts her spirits. I think his health makes him that way. His blood sugar count is always so erratic because he doesn't eat right. It can really make a difference in mood. I wish he would be better about eating right and exercising but you know how stubborn he is.

Not much different here. I'm taking a payroll training class tomorrow all day...whoopy! But not much else going on. Just working.

How are your baptism prospects?  Are they coming along this week?  I pray they will feel the spirit and the urgency in committing to the Lord this week.  I will pray that you and your companion will know the words to say to help them do just that.

I love you Son!  Hugs and Kisses!  Have a great week!

Mom

Hey Mom,
Thanks for the message, I appreciate them every week. Seriously I do. I am glad you guys got to get rid of the troublemakers for a while, I am sure you are catching up on lots of stuff lol. Yeah, today I had lots of email from people all around the world actually. Everyone that I know on missions pretty much emailed me. It was way cool hearing from everyone. Tell gran gran that she doesnt have to send me money in every letter. I think she feels like I am starving out here in the wilderness or something. lol I hope work is going well today. Good luck with payroll.
Our investigators are doing great. For this week we have this one kid that wants to get baptized in the columbia river.... We have to get permission from the mission president, but He will be baptized either way. He is a great kid, and he is a great example to his family. His name is Leonardo Sanchez, and He is a future apostle, I swear. He is the best.
But things out here are going great with everyone else too. Lots of changes are going around the world, and the mission, and things will be finalized next week with transfer call, so i will let you all know about them next week. We will see what happens. I love you guys, and I will write soon.
Love,
Elder Cybulski

p.s. This is me at grand coullee damn, the biggest damn in the country. It is in the area north of me, but we stopped to see it on the way to spokane

March 11, 2013 Email

Hey mom,

So first, the first presidency of the church just changed the email guidelines. We can now email friends, priesthood leaders, and recent converts. So, now we can email a lot more.
Secondly, Thank you so much for the scriptural thought. i have been studying alot lately about faith. I really love that topic, cause their is a great relationship between faith and actions, as well as desires, and actions. thanks a lot mom, I will definitely read those scriptures tomorrow in my personal study.

So, everything here is going great. This last week, one of our investigators made a huge turn towards the gospel. We have been teaching here for a while, and she keeps saying that she doesnt want to go to church, cause she just likes to read scriptures on her own time. However, I read Alma 53:20 with her, that says how the stripling warriors were valiant for "activity", and it kind of all clicked with her, and now she is on date to get baptized, and planning on coming to church soon. We are really excited for her, and some of our other investigators. Many people are like right on the verge of being baptized, they just need to decide to do it. It gets kind of frustrating, but it is the lords timeline not ours, so we are being patient.

Out here it has been pretty warm. We did get a little bit of snow/rain early in the week, but it was all gone pretty fast. I still cant believe how much it snowed there this late in the season.

Well, with this new rule I have lots of emails to write today. Write soon guys. I love you tons.

Besos,
Elder Cybulski
